April 2011 - Grange Community primary School begins a journey towards Fairtrade School status 6 May 2011 - Felixstowe Fairtrade Forum Steering group meets to review current progress and plan future events. 13 May 2011 - On World Fair Trade Day, the Fairtrade Foundation hung the world’s longest line of cotton bunting (3.3 kilometre (2 miles) around Battersea Park in London to highlight a campaign demanding fair trade justice for West African cotton farmers. Children from Grange Community Primary School, Colneis Junior School, Langer Primary School and some Church groups contributed to their decorated cotton bunting to help create a world record. 4 September 2011 - Fairtrade Forum refreshment stall at Art on the Prom sells juice, biscuits and geobars as well as giving out leaflets. 10 October 2011 - Felixstowe Fairtrade Forum contributes to a Fairtrade stand at a Rotary Club regional conference in Norwich. 21 October 2011 - AGM at St Felix Church Hall. Guest speaker from the Co-operative movement. Two new members join the Steering Group. Corporate membership launched. December 2011 - Fairtrade stall sells wide range of products at Salvation Army Christmas tree festival. January 2012 - Individual membership of Felixstowe Fairtrade Forum stands at 131. In addition there are 10 corporate members. 25 February 2012 - Fairtrade Coffee Mornings. At Trinity Methodist Church the Mayor of Felixstowe officially launched Fairtrade Fortnight in Felixstowe. Level Two Youth Group, Addicted to Dance, perform. At St Mary’s Church, Walton, a Big Brew featured homemade cakes and a quiz. 27 February 2012 - Fairtrade Fortnight (until March 11th)
